Don’t get caught– computer stress.
I would consider the work with computer– I won’t say that computer is bad– is detrimental to the user’s health. We used to work in the same ceramic tile factory. I knew him as electronics engineer and he was very very talented in his field, for he could change the panel board circuitry or any other unit when he found something is wrong in the machine– just to put it back operational. But time had its own destiny as he moved from one country to another — china,Italy, Iran, and lately Turkey. And he was very very sicked. Prior to that very critical situation, he almost didn’t take sleep as he worked with his sophisticated computer, doing designs, programming of machines, project assessment, and many others—alone in his room doing that stuff. One of his colleagues said he usually noticed him with lots of cigarette and coffee servings, as he went through all his works deeply, and small meals. And a two(2) to three(3) hours sleep—then went to work in the factory in the morning.
He suffered severe abdominal pain. Initially the Doctor diagnosed him with an “ulcer”. But he demanded to take him back to his country –Philippines– where he wanted immediate medical treatment. Right after the plane took its complete landing, he was rushed to the hospital. Hours later, a couple of inches in his intestine were removed. Then unexpected complications attacked his conditions–many of them. But several days later, he was caught by a cancer– a tumor was detected right in that same intestine. And that was the end of our electronic-computer-genius friend and boss.
At the wake, we speculated that “If He was’nt too influenced by such curiosity, He won’t be there at age 56.”
